General Practice
The Forest Lakes Medical Centre was established by Dr Hamza Amira in 1989. It was relocated to the current address and the new building opened on the 11th November 1996. As the Practice has grown, the building has been extended to accommodate more doctors and reception staff.
In October 2009 building commenced on the extensions for new doctor’s rooms and a new upstairs staff room. The extensions were completed in late January 2010 and the clinic opened on Monday the 8th February 2010.
Adjacent to the clinic was a small house which has been converted into a double story building that was completed in 2017 named building B which has a Dentist, Chiropractor and a Clinical Laboratory. Another addition is building C which sits in front of building B which holds the Physiotherapist. The buildings are encircled by a one-way drive through car park.

Dr Hamza Amira graduated in Egypt in 1982 and moved to Perth in 1983. He established Forest Lakes Medical Centre in 1991.

Dr Jenny Smith is a graduate of UWA and has been a GP at Forest Lakes Medical Centre since 2003. She covers all aspects of general practice, with a particular interest in women’s and children’s health. Dr Smith is also very involved in the education of medical students and GP registrars.
When not working, she is busy raising four children.

Originally from India, Gopal finished medical school in 2002, working in tertiary hospitals in South India and the UK before coming to Perth in 2006.
He gained his experience in various specialties in all referral hospitals in Perth, including many years in Emergency Medicine.
He moved to the specialist area of general practice in order to spend more time with his family.

University of Western Australia. She’s worked in a number of local hospitals,
including Fiona Stanley, Rockingham, and the Cockburn Women’s Mental Health
hospital.
Her clinical training spans a wide range of specialties, including Obstetrics and
Gynaecology, Paediatrics, Mental Health, General Medicine, Palliative Care, and
Emergency Medicine.
With a longstanding interest in General Practice, she is passionate about delivering
compassionate, whole-person care to patients of all ages and backgrounds.
When she’s not working, you’ll likely find her baking something sweet, playing in an
orchestra, or curled up with her cats Mimi and Mochi.

Dr Sidra Hafeez

Dr Sidra gained Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of surgery in 2008 from Allama Iqbal Medical College, University of Health Sciences Lahore in Pakistan.
She then moved to live in Perth Australia with her family. She has been fortunate to work in a variety of hospitals in WA in both regional and metropolitan hospitals including Bunbury regional and Midland Hospital Perth. She has gained valuable experience in emergency medicine, chronic disease management, aged care, mental health, women health and paediatric medicine.
She has a special interest in Paediatrics and she has completed Diploma in Child Health from Sydney Children Hospital.
Outside the practice she likes to spend time with her family of 3 kids, likes to play Badminton and enjoys cooking with her family.
